All Rods are all based on tapers form other builders and modified based on the rod builders and modified from the rods and action of those I have made.
All of my bamboo rods are made to fish. I use different types of reel seats and guides to create new looks for each rod.
My favorite rods for trout are the two piece 5wt. rods. I make the three piece rods for air travel. Must of us don't like to check our rods. Some rods are 8-9 weights that have been used in bass fishing and bone fishing. I have even made a 3 pieces - 12 foot 10wt spey rod for that day I get to travel for try my luck on steelhead. ( it is heavy and would need the two hands to cast.

This is a 7'-7" two piece bamboo rod - 5 wt . This rod is a little stiffer action from the rod above, great rod for nymphing rigs and cannot beat the long dry casts. The REC reel seat is a roped nickle silver up locking with a amboya wood insert. The rod has REC super swiss nickle silver ferrules and an agate stripper guide. The guides have a claret & gold windings The handle is burled cork.
Travel Rod Yellowstone #2
This is a 7'-8" three piece bamboo rod - 5 wt . This rod is a general action and great rod for the dry flies and small nymph rigs. This rod is a rod taper I used on a Yellowstone trip. The REC reel seat is a roped nickle silver uplocking with a buckeye wood insert. The rod has REC super swiss nickle silver ferrules and an agate stripper guide.
